Sakya Kalden Ling is a Buddhist center in Frankfurt - Griesheim, which offers a versatile range of actvities in a welcoming atmosphere. In addition to our regular meditation and teaching sessions, we also host events with great Sakya spiritual masters. The Sakya tradition is one of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism. Everybody who wants to learn about Buddhism and to incorporate its wisdom into everyday life is welcome.

The Jetsun-Sakya Foundation e.V. was founded in 2005 by our spiritual teacher, H E Jetsun Chimey Luding, sister of His Holiness the Sakya Kyabgon Gongma Trichen,  who is also the main patron of Sakya Kalden Ling. Our center is located in Frankfurt-Griesheim since 2008, and our new meditation hall was inaugurated in 2010.

Venerable Lama Gedun Gyatso has been our acting resident Lama since January 2009. He was born in Eastern Tibet, lived in India and then finally settled in Switzerland. Our new resident lama, Venerable Lama Sonam Gyatso, arrived the 29th May 2015 in our center in Frankfurt. He also was born in Markham Eastern Tibet. He will go on with the work for our center and we are very happy to have him with us.
